I know that sometimes all the crafts you own can get into a big cluttery mess, but you don't have a ton of extra cash to spend on fancy organizational items. So I have found some amazing and clever items you may have around your house (of can find at the thrift store of garage sales) to help organize your crafty belongings!
Storage out of a Keurig Rack
Turn an old Keurig rack into a storage caddy for any of your smaller items using some mini dip-takeout containers! Store anything from sequins (like thecraftypickle.com on the right did) to buttons, beads, eyelets and so much more!
Or place your paint bottles in the Keurig rack (like hometalk.com left). I would put your paint tops down with a tight lid so you can see the colors in your bottles since a lot of brands don't have the color sticker on the lids.
It makes a great display piece too so you can easily leave it out on the counter or shelf!
Storage out of Tin Cans
These next three are just made out of tin cans straight from your recycling bin! Add some paint, scrapbook paper or washi tape to decorate them and you're done!
Storage out of Shakers
Wether it's a salt and pepper shaker, sugar shaker or spice shaker it'll work! It doesn't matter if it's plastic or glass either! I think this is most ideal for glitter (especially if you buy it in bulk like me!!) But I do also love how the twine is in the sugar shaker, it seems pretty easy to gab the piece you need right from the spout! I'm defiantly going to keep my eye out for a couple of those when I'm treasure hunting!
Storage out of Magazine Folders
This one is brilliant and the way that I store my cardstock and 8.5"x 11" papers! I originally had them horizontally on the shelf but if I needed one from the bottom they all seemed to come out! This idea is a way better solution and you can easily color co-ordinate them too! Ikea has some fairly inexpensive ones or if you want to spend no money, use your old cereal boxes and cut the tops and half the side off!
Storage out of Spice Racks
Similar to the Keurig rack, you can use an old spice rack and they come with perfect sized containers great for small storage or random items!
Storage out of PVC Pipe
So yes, I know that everyone doesn't have PVC pipe lying around the house, but it is pretty inexpensive from the hardware store so I had to share these storage solutions because they are amazing!! The photos say enough but I love how you can paint them, and connect the corners to make a box shape! Click on the pictures to get the link of how you can make them yourself!
Storage out of an Ice Cube Tray
Ice cube trays are a great storage for inside drawers being a perfect shallow height! They are great for organizing small things or miscellaneous things or as the pictured shown below with washi tape and bobbins.
